HOW THE PRODUCTS
ARE MANUFACTURED

Foster & Pearson glasshouses are made from the finest quality materials. The timber is specifically sourced and milled in Canada, while the iron castings are all produced in England, as are the bronze fittings. The imperial slotted bronze screws are imported from America and the paints from Finland. The timber and iron components are all machined in-house, precisely replicating the original profiles; as are the nuts, bolts and other fastenings used in the construction of these unique buildings.

Once the timber joints have been primed and the castings shot blasted and hot zinc spayed, the glasshouses are fully assembled within the Foster & Pearson workshop. Following inspection and approval the buildings are then dismantled into a minimum number of components and re-erected on site, where they receive their final coats of paint and are traditionally glazed in hand-cut glass.
